Hello everyone :)
My name is Tehreem, and I'm fortunate enough to be your instructor this semester. Many people ask me how I ended up in Minnesota of all places. Well, my parents are from Pakistan, but they dreamed of moving to the United States, so after a few years of living in Nigeria, they were able to come fulfill their dream. Like many immigrants, they first ended up in New York City, where I was born. After that, my father, who is a doctor, did his residency in North Dakota, and he found a good job in Minnesota several years after that, which is how we ended up here.
Last May, I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a major in Peace Studies. And now I am here, at SCSU, completing a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language. My goal is to teach abroad, pursue formal education about my religion, and to learn as many languages as I can, but especially Arabic. Then eventually, perhaps I will do a PhD.
That's all for now :) If you have any questions, leave me a comment, and I'll answer as best as I can.
